The health and safety of our babies, clients and staff is very important to us.
If you are experiencing any symptoms of illness, including cough, rash, fever, nausea or vomiting not related to pregnancy, please call the clinic before you come to one of our locations.
Our staff will be happy to discuss options for a virtual visit with your midwife or rescheduling your appointment.
Scheduling Appointments
Our Carleton Place clinic is open Monday to Thursday 8:00 - 4:00 and Friday 9:00 - 3:00. Our Bells Corners clinic is by appointment only. Once you are accepted as a client, our staff will assist you in booking appointments as each midwife has different clinic hours and days. Appointments can be made in person or by phone. Your midwife will assist you in determining when, and by whom, you should be seen.
Appointments last between 30–45 minutes, and clients are welcome to bring partners, support people, and/or their children.
Frequency of Appointments
Typically, you will have appointments every 4–5 weeks until your 27th week of pregnancy, 2–3 weeks between your 27th and 37th weeks, and then once a week until your baby is born.
Midwives will come to your home in the immediate postpartum period, usually seeing you at day 1, day 3, and day 5 after the baby is born. Mothers and their babies will return to the clinic for three postpartum visits until the baby is six weeks old.
Cancellations
There are times when appointments will be cancelled on short notice, usually when a midwife has been called away to a birth. Every effort will be made to contact you beforehand, but we request your patience and understanding when this is not possible. Please check your voicemail before coming to a clinic appointment, in case we have been trying to reach you.

“I cannot say enough about the support and encouragement I received from my team throughout my pregnancy, labour, and postpartum care. My son Henry was born via c-section on May 4, and being able to stay home with him and have my team come see us at home has been a wonderful experience.”
